Proposed Residence @ Latitude 26
Location
Nugegoda, Sri Lanka

Brief
A site-specific residence — climate-conscious orientation, deep overhangs and a section calibrated to the local sun path and prevailing breeze.
MAARAA Architects engaged IMARK RENDER to visualize this residence in Nugegoda — a project that took its name from the geographic latitude of the site and used that coordinate as the starting point for a rigorous climate-responsive design process. The building's section, the depth of its overhangs and the positioning of its principal openings were all derived from sun path analysis, and the visualization needed to show the building at different times of day to demonstrate how these passive strategies work across the daily cycle.
