Proposed Festival Plaza, Negombo

A mixed-use plaza proposal for Negombo — ground-floor retail activating the street, upper levels resolved for office and leisure with open-air terracing.

Negombo's waterfront has long held unrealised potential as a civic and cultural destination. This proposal was developed by IMARK RENDER as a design competition entry responding to a brief for a mixed-use cultural plaza that could serve the local community while establishing a new identity for the seafront area. The design places a continuous public ground-floor arcade at street level, with upper floors offering a stacked programme of flexible office space, leisure facilities and roof terracing overlooking the lagoon.
